About The Position

RoomReady is expanding its Service team in the Portland, OR area. An AV Service Technician is responsible for technical accuracy and completion of all service calls. Daily activities include responding to service calls and tickets to ensure the best customer experience possible when receiving RR services. Additionally, will be responsible for onsite surveys for upcoming installations. Overnight travel frequently, up to 60%. When not traveling there will be hybrid reporting requirements to our Beaverton location. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of security, camera, and/or audiovisual knowledge or construction experience
  • Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
  • Knowledge of how to maintain, repair, diagnose, and correctly install or replace AV equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and AV drawings
  • Strong knowledge of the AV industry and the general requirement of different equipment types
  • Precise written communication abilities for filing repair, installation, and maintenance reports.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while using their own technical judgment regarding complex tasks
  • Use of basic hand and power tools
  • Completes all required documentation accurately and within the expected timeframes
  • Maintain positive customer interaction throughout every job and perform work with the best interest of RoomReady in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to on-site service calls for AV conferencing systems
  • Provide remote service assistance as needed
  • Installing simple 1-3 day teleconferencing systems, cameras, and access control
  • Custom space certification and closeout
  • End-user training (onsite & remote)
  • Remote and onsite support troubleshooting
  • Occasionally provide event support on client sites
