About The Position

Cognizance Technologies is seeking a motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented AV Producer to join its team in Rockville, Maryland. The role supports a project serving medical and scientific communities and provides audiovisual meeting, conference, and event support in on-site conference rooms. The AV Producer sets up and troubleshoots conferencing systems, maintains and tests equipment, assists customers with their AV needs, and supports basic media production and editing.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Two to four years of experience.
Experience working with automated and production-type AV systems, including meeting setup and troubleshooting.
Additional IT experience may supplement dedicated AV experience.
Proficiency operating Mac and Windows computers for AV-related tasks, such as loading presentations and connecting to displays or projectors via VGA or HDMI.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Experience with event and conferencing technology.

Experience working on a help desk.
Experience with help-desk ticketing or other request-tracking systems.
Experience with multi-layered media event production.
Experience with Crestron, Biamp, Evertz, or Ross systems.
Experience with digital PTT microphone systems.
Experience with audio mixing.

Responsibilities

Assist with meeting, conference, and event setup in multiple on-site conference rooms using industry-standard conferencing technology.
Provide technical support and routine maintenance for conference room equipment, including testing displays, computers, speakers, microphones, and conferencing systems.
Configure equipment to ensure optimal performance and meet customer requirements.
Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, AV systems, equipment, and applications on PC and Mac.
Escalate malfunctioning equipment for repair with advanced support vendors and oversee requests through completion.
Answer routine customer questions about conference room equipment operation and usage.
Provide basic graphics, video, and audio production and editing using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including simple edits and media encoding for streaming platforms.
Set up and operate cameras, microphones, and lighting for ad hoc mobile or set-based video production, such as interviews.
Work with users to determine AV needs and requirements, and test meeting scenarios before start time.
Test facility audiovisual equipment and configure conferencing equipment and venues to accommodate special user needs.
