About The Position

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a highly capable and technically skilled AV Support Technician to join their team supporting a leading financial technology firm. This role involves the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV/VC systems across conference rooms, private offices, and event spaces. The technician will provide expert-level support for meetings and events, proactively maintain equipment, and assist with design and asset management. They will be responsible for managing support requests through the client's ticketing system. This is a hands-on role for a technician who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of AV technologies including Crestron, Extron NAV, Cisco Webex, OneBeyond camera systems, and AV over IP infrastructures, and will operate with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of service and responsiveness. This position is based on-site and may involve occasional off-hours support for events, maintenance windows, or emergency escalations.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in AV support, with significant hands-on operation of enterprise AV systems.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Cisco video conferencing hardware environments
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Cisco Webex conferencing platform
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Crestron control and camera systems
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Extron NAV AV over IP systems
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of PTZ camera controllers, video mixers.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in high-demand environments.
  • Familiarity with IT support practices and ticketing systems.
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a distributed technical team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lift, move, and set up AV hardware as needed.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends for scheduled events or emergencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with asset management and tracking tools a plus.
  • Preferred Certifications: Cisco, Crestron, Extron and AVIXA CTS certifications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and support AV and VC systems for meetings and events, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Monitor live meetings, respond to escalations, and perform live troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
  • Upload Crestron control programs and coordinate with remote programming teams for certification.
  • Operate and maintain AV systems, including Cisco Webex, Crestron OneBeyond, Extron NAV, PTZ controllers, and video mixers.
  • Perform proactive maintenance activities including inspections, firmware/code updates, and routine system sweeps.
  • Collaborate with customer teams to plan and schedule preventative maintenance activities.
  • Support physical and virtual events with site setup, testing, event kick-off, live monitoring, teardown, and follow-up.
  • Provide end-user training and event management support where needed.
  • Manage incident and service tickets.
  • Perform root cause analysis and escalate per defined procedures.
  • Participate in problem and change management activities for AV systems.
  • Assist with AV design feedback, technology recommendations, and product testing.
  • Track, tag, and manage AV assets in accordance with customer procedures for commissioning and decommissioning.
