AV Installation Technician

About The Position
We're looking for an AV Technician to install and service high-end smart home systems in premium homes across Los Angeles. There's a clear path to grow from Technician to Lead Technician to Service and Programming. This role is for a trustworthy individual who is hungry to learn and grow, hands-on, technically inclined, and curious how things work. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Requirements
- Experience on construction sites
- Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools
- A steady work history (3yrs between hops)
- A pleasant disposition, High EQ
- 2+ years of experience in AV, low-voltage, smart home, or a related trade
- Basic electrical and networking knowledge
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Lutron (HomeWorks QS, RadioRA), Savant, Control4, or Crestron
- Experience with access control and intercom systems (2N, Siedle, smart locks)
- CEDIA, Lutron, or manufacturer certifications
- OSHA 10/30
Responsibilities
- Install audio, video, and home theater systems (TVs, projectors, speakers)
- Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Speaker, Control, RCA)
- Build and lace network racks
- Install lighting control and keypads, motorized window treatments, intercom, surveillance, access control, and WiFi
- Commission, configure, and test systems
- Read and interpret construction plans, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Coordinate with contractors and other trades on active construction sites
- Troubleshoot and service existing systems
