About The Position

Learning Experience (LX) in Enterprise Technology aspires to make enterprise-wide technologies a multiplier of teaching, learning and discovery for all faculty and students. LX Space Design advances this aspiration by designing multimedia solutions in partnership with stakeholders that enable each space to fulfill its intended purpose. The AV Field Operations Manager provides day-to-day operational supervision and coordination of audiovisual field engineering activities for Space Design. This role oversees the scheduling, prioritization, and execution of field work supporting university classrooms, conference spaces, digital signage, and departmental AV environments across ASU campuses. The position focuses on operational management, execution planning, and field coordination rather than primarily performing direct engineering work. The AV Field Operations Manager supervises AV Field Engineers, manages equipment inventory and logistics, and partners with service leads and project coordinators to ensure reliable and efficient delivery of AV support and project work. This position is in person with limited remote workdays. This role may require working nights and weekends to meet university demands. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily work activities of AV Field Engineers, including assignment of service tickets, project tasks, and operational priorities.
  • Plan and manage field execution for AV installations, repairs, and system refresh activities across multiple ASU campuses.
  • Maintain operational oversight of AV equipment inventory, logistics, and procurement coordination.
  • Monitor workload distribution and capacity planning to ensure efficient service delivery and timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate scheduling and ensure field engineering activities align with established operational procedures, safety practices, and service expectations.
  • Partner with service leads and project coordinators to align field execution with project scope, timelines, and technical standards.
  • Identify operational process improvements and implement procedures that increase consistency and efficiency in field operations.
  • Document operational performance and provide regular updates to the LX Space Design Director.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Leverage AI in routine tasks and contribute ideas for using AI to improve the unit’s efficiency and overall performance.
  • Take responsibility for fostering a positive culture, upholding organizational values, and championing engagement in all its forms.
  • Collaborate across teams and actively participate in ET/ASU events and programs.
