About The Position

The AV Estimator is responsible for developing precise, highly competitive, and profitable cost estimates for commercial audiovisual and low-voltage systems. Working across our Northeast corridor, you will translate RFP documentation, architectural blueprints, and client requirements into detailed project budgets, labor estimates, and bills of materials.

Requirements

• 4+ years of estimating or design experience specifically within the commercial AV integration or low-voltage/electrical cabling industries.
• Expert-level proficiency in Excel and Bluebeam.
• Solid grasp of commercial AV hardware costs, labor installation metrics, structural build constraints, and local union/labor regulations in major Northeast cities.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with CRM or estimation platforms (D-Tools, Jetbuilt, or custom ERPs) is highly desired.
• CTS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, and RFPs.
• Perform accurate material and equipment take-offs using digital tools like Bluebeam.
• Build comprehensive labor, material, and subcontractor estimates.
• Request vendor pricing, negotiate discount programs, and manage margin profiles.
• Partner with Account Executives, Pre-Sales Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure bid strategies align with resource capacity and technical realities.
• Attend site surveys and pre-bid walk-throughs in metropolitan commercial spaces to assess actual job site conditions.
