About The Position

Independence Mission Schools (IMS) is seeking full-time Auxiliary Teacher candidates to support staff absences and provide additional instruction or assistance within St. Martin of Tours school. This role involves supporting students of all ages (PK-8) across various content areas, including specials like music, art, and PE, as well as core academic subjects such as reading and math. The ideal candidate will believe in the IMS mission, work effectively in diverse communities, and model outstanding character traits aligned with Catholic teachings. They should also demonstrate a growth mindset, high accountability, strong communication skills, meticulous planning, and organizational abilities to ensure an excellent learning experience for all students. Flexibility and willingness to perform other duties as assigned are essential.

Requirements

High School degree (required)
Clearance on all required background checks (required)
Completion of all onboarding documentation and training (required)

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds (preferred)
Demonstrated ability to accommodate a range of learning needs and differentiate instruction (preferred)
A track record of holding students to high expectations and leading students to successfully achieve those expectations (preferred)

Responsibilities
