About The Position

Our team is focused on evolving the state of the art and bringing emerging automation & autonomy technology into the harsh production environments found on typical mining and construction jobsites. As a System Integration Engineer focusing on autonomous mining trucks, you’ll collaborate with team members to develop new autonomous truck models and features that provide critical value to our customers. Every day you will work with your team to solve real world problems by selecting the right approach and bringing those solutions to production. Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience with autonomous or robotics technology and associated application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
  • Knowledge of product design; ability to convert market requirements into the product design.
  • Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in an accredited Robotics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree
  • Strong collaboration and organization skills.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple complex projects, meeting timelines and deliverables
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals
  • System Engineering experience in autonomy, robotics, or related industries

Responsibilities

  • Design system architectures for autonomy systems deployed on an ecosystem of truck models
  • Definition of electronic interfaces and electronic system design
  • Manage I/O requirements for machine control hardware and other autonomy-related devices
  • Collaborate with partner teams to create hardware solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate and execute logistics to progress hardware system changes through validation environments, field trials, and into production.
  • System troubleshooting and issue resolution.
