About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Installation Technician to join our team in San Francisco, CA. This full-time position involves installing hardware and technology systems on autonomous vehicles. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical work, installations, and using various tools. You will be responsible for mounting, securing, and connecting components, as well as testing systems to ensure functionality and safety. Attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and strong teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Experience with mechanical work, installations, or assembly
Comfortable using tools
Good attention to detail
Able to follow diagrams and instructions
Good communication and teamwork skills
Able to stand, bend, and work around vehicles all day

Nice To Haves

Experience working at independent automotive repair shops, performance garages, or specialty vehicle service centers
Hands-on experience installing car audio systems, alarms, remote starts, or other automotive accessories
Vocational training or education from an automotive trade school or technical program
Experience assembling or repairing components in the aerospace or aviation industry (drone-related experience not included)
Practical experience building, repairing, or upgrading computers, electronics, engines, or other mechanical projects
Autonomous Vehicle Operators (AVOs) and Software Testers with strong hands-on mechanical skills outside their primary role. Examples include restoring or modifying project vehicles, performing automotive repairs, engine swaps, fabrication, or previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
