About The Position

This full-time position is located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and supports the Special Operations Mission Training Center (SOMTC).

Requirements

  • FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (FAA Part 107)
  • Basic Unmanned Aircraft Systems Qualification (BUQ) I & II
  • Understanding of UAS mission sets (i.e. intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), search-and-rescue, agriculture, or military missions)
  • Experience using, maintaining, troubleshooting, and updating UAS hardware and software

Responsibilities

  • Participate in curriculum design activities that are accurate, relevant, realistic, and synchronized with force requirements that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Incorporate institutional strategies to ensure required graduate skill levels, knowledge, and abilities transfer from the institutional environment to the operational environment.
  • Update and rewrite lesson products as required by changes in doctrine and curriculum development. All recommendations shall be provided to the Government in pursuit of, and prior to, changes to curriculum.
  • Follow all guidelines which include but are not limited to Department of the Army, U.S. Army Transformation and Training Command (T2C), and U.S. Army John F Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS) regulations on curriculum development, training guidance, lesson plan development, and presentation techniques for Special Activities Training Battalion (SATB) courses.
  • Train United States Special Operations Forces (USSOF) and interagency personnel in the knowledge and skills specific to Multi Domain Operations, which includes Additive Manufacturing; Computer Aided Design; Foreign UMS; Small Unmanned Systems (sUxS) Construction, Exploitation, Employment, and Electronics; Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) sUxS jailbreaking and hardening; C-UxS; Mapping; Radio frequency survey; Tactical Awareness Kit (TAK) integration; Signature Reduction; Joint Effects Integration; and Find, Fix, Finish, Exploit, Analyze, and Disseminate (F3EAD) targeting.
