About The Position

Supports the development, maintenance, and optimization of autonomous mining environments—including haul roads, load plans, dump plans, and exclusion zones—while assisting with system validation, troubleshooting, and operational support to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable autonomous mining operations.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of combined experience in mining, heavy industrial industry, dispatch, fleet mgt systems, or autonomy.
  • Competent in computer operation and application.
  • Action oriented
  • Approachable and displays active listening skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and situational awareness in high-risk environments
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across technical and operational teams
  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing communication with Pit Technicians and other field personnel to verify the accuracy of haul roads, load plans, dump plans, and exclusion zones, updating the autonomous Command system as needed to ensure alignment with current site conditions.
  • Create, update, and monitor autonomous operating controls, including speed zones, one-way routes, right-of-way rules, and fail-safe parameters, making routine adjustments based on field conditions, system performance, and operational guidance.
  • Review weekly mine audit findings, slow/stop reports, and mine model data in collaboration with senior team members, implementing system updates and virtual environment changes to address identified gaps and support operational effectiveness.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards by promptly reporting autonomous-related incidents and actively participating in safety meetings, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required.
