About The Position

As an Automotive Virtual Total Loss Adjuster, you will be responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to customers with vehicles requiring repair. This role involves virtually inspecting damage to various types of vehicles, writing damage repair estimates, completing total loss valuations, and negotiating settlements with repair facilities, tow yards, and customers. You will also estimate repair times for rental vehicles and manage your own workload independently. A key part of this role is explaining coverage, estimates, claims, settlement, and rental processes to agents and/or customers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 18 months of experience writing auto collision estimates using a recognized auto estimating program.

Requirements

Minimum of 18 months or more experience writing Auto collision estimates using an auto estimating program such as: CCC One / Mitchel, Audatex.
A dedicated workspace in your residence that is private and free from distractions.
A minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up.
Appropriate work surface and seating.
Ability to obtain an adjuster’s license in multiple markets within 60 days of hire.
Maintain all licensing required for the role, including continuing education and renewal requirements.

Active appraiser license or active adjuster license in TX, FL, or your resident state (for sign-on bonus eligibility).

Responsibilities

Virtually inspect damage to automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and recreational vehicles.
Write damage repair estimates.
Complete total loss valuations.
Negotiate moderately complex and occasionally complex settlements with repair facilities, tow yards, and customers.
Estimate repair times for rental/loss of use.
Work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage workload.
Explain coverage, estimates, claims, settlement, and rental processes to agents and/or customers.
Investigate casualty (and applicable LOB) claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
Use phone, emails, and video chat with customers to guide them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process.
Incorporate a specific approach to claim handling to offer customers their preferred communication method.
Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants in accordance with legal and business standards.
Utilize multiple tools, including estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms, along with critical thinking skills.
Execute policies according to policy agreements and maintain clear records in a claims system.
Summarize documents and enter into claim system notes.
Document a claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making processes.
Partner with the Good Hands Repair Network for vehicles that may be potential total losses, determining reparability and if repairs can be settled rapidly.
Investigate moderately complex or occasionally complex files, review damage, take photos, and determine reparability or total loss.
Prepare damage estimates or valuations for moderately complex or occasionally complex claims and locate parts.
Evaluate diminished value in a moderately complex or occasionally complex claim.
Triage moderately complex and occasionally complex total loss claims.
Initiate payments (QCP, Fast Mobile Epay, etc.) and pay appropriate parties.
Respond to moderately complex and occasionally complex arbitrations contentions.
