Requirements

  • Experience working with automotive electrical systems
  • Experience working with automotive mechanical systems
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Constructive team player
  • Positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented and focused on quality workmanship

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant training, experience and/or Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform all upfitting tasks, including installing equipment to modify vehicles into police and emergency vehicles.
  • Route and install wire harnesses, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, component trays, and consoles.
  • Disassemble and reassemble factory vehicles.
  • Read drawings, including electrical schematics with limited help.
  • Work independently, maintain accurate records, find efficiencies while respecting quality, and contributing ideas to the company.
