Kerr Industries, a subsidiary of Safe Fleet, is looking to add full-time Automotive Installers to our Day Shift (6:00am to 2:30pm). Requirements

Experience working with automotive electrical systems.
Experience working with automotive mechanical systems.
A valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Be a constructive team player and possess and exhibit a positive attitude.
Be detail-oriented and focused on quality workmanship.
Be comfortable in an exciting fast-paced environment.
Supply own basic set of tools commonly used in the performance of automotive repair work.

Nice To Haves

Completed at least two years, preferably graduated, from a four-year trade school, vocational high school or equivalent, with courses in general shop and automotive repair.
Possess a valid mechanic’s license.
ASE Automotive Technician or EVT Emergency Vehicle Technician certified.

Responsibilities

Perform all upfitting tasks, including installing equipment like wire harnesses, controllers, partitions, auxiliary batteries, light bars, push bumpers, power supplies, component trays, and consoles.
Disassemble and reassemble factory vehicles.
Read drawings, including electrical schematics with limited help.
Work independently, maintain accurate records, find efficiencies while respecting quality, and contribute ideas to the company.
Be comfortable working in an industrial environment that may require heavy physical duties, including frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling.
Potentially perform fieldwork and work varying hours, with some overtime possibly required.
