Automotive Technology-Adjunct Faculty (Pool)
About The Position
Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC) is seeking qualified and competent experts with skills, education, and experience in academic and/or professional areas to join their part-time adjunct faculty pool. All part-time faculty are responsible for providing students with a high-quality learning environment, utilizing their focused expertise and experience in classrooms, laboratories, and online platforms. These are potential part-time, non-benefited positions for the 2024-2025 & 2025-2026 academic years. Applications are held in applicant pools by discipline and will be consulted when a position opens. Applicants will not be notified of their status unless contacted for an interview. Adjunct applicants are encouraged to indicate their availability by completing the Adjunct Faculty Questionnaire.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required
- Master's-Level Certification such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certified Master Technician required
- Evidence of competence in the area of instruction
- Maintain expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities
Nice To Haves
- Preference granted to those with Advanced L-1 certification
- 3-5 years teaching experience in a community college
Responsibilities
- Instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes
- Instructional preparation
- Assessment of student performance, including submission of final grades in a timely fashion
- Availability to students by appointment when mutually convenient
- Not more than one faculty meeting per session
- Travel to both Gardner and Fitchburg locations required
- Other duties as required
