About The Position

Honda Cars of Rock Hill, part of Hendrick Automotive Group, is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician experienced in diagnosing and performing vehicle repairs to prevent future breakdowns or issues. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the automotive retail industry and a willingness to pursue ongoing training and certifications for career advancement.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License
Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer.
Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
Completed manufacturer training to perform warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs.
Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Regular and predictable attendance in-person at an automotive dealership.
Ability to lift up to (50) pounds.
Regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations.
Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.
Automotive Technology, Vocational/Trade Certificate, High School Diploma or equivalent.
Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
