Requirements

  • Strong understanding of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, HVAC, fuel, and emissions.
  • Proficient with computerized diagnostic tools and able to interpret diagnostic trouble codes.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform repairs ranging from routine maintenance to complex component rebuilds.
  • Capable of reading and understanding technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Basic computer skills for diagnostic software, parts ordering, and record keeping.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing complex vehicle issues.
  • Attention to detail to ensure safety and accuracy in repairs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication to explain technical issues and collaborate with the team.
  • Customer service oriented with a professional attitude.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity sufficient to handle lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.
  • Good time management and organizational abilities.
  • Adherence to safety procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Entry-Level candidates should have completed relevant education or training programs; on-the-job training is provided.
  • Experienced Technicians should have several years of automotive diagnostic and repair experience and may possess specialized skills.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect vehicles using computerized diagnostic tools, such as scan tools and multimeters, to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Perform tests on vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, HVAC, and emissions.
  • Analyze test results, technical manuals, and service bulletins to diagnose and determine root causes of malfunctions.
  • Perform repairs such as replacing brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, belts, hoses, and filters according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and tune-ups.
  • Repair or replace complex components including engine management, fuel, and ignition systems.
  • Perform wheel alignments and balancing using specialized equipment.
  • Overhaul or rebuild assemblies such as power steering systems, linkages, and transmissions.
