About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Passenger Service Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles, performing preventive maintenance, and repairing various vehicle systems. You will ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition and meet all state requirements. The role also involves maintaining shop equipment and inventory, staying updated on technical knowledge, and keeping the service area clean. The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old, possesses a valid driver's license, and has their own tools.

Requirements

Minimum age of 18.
Valid driver's license.
Must have own tools.
Experience with passenger service tires.
Work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test vehicles.
Complete preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters.
Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; and replacing parts and components.
Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
Keep shop equipment operational by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; and calling for repairs.
Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Keep a clean service area.
Take on other duties as they arise.
