About The Position

AM Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing Service Department. The ideal candidate is a productive, quality-focused technician who takes pride in diagnosing vehicles correctly, completing repairs efficiently, and fixing vehicles right the first time.

Requirements

Previous professional automotive repair experience preferred.
Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
Ability to perform repairs independently.
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Must have basic automotive technician tools.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment.
Commitment to providing safe and quality repairs.

Nice To Haves

Ford or dealership experience is preferred but not required.
ASE or manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
Perform routine maintenance and general automotive repairs.
Perform brake, suspension, steering, HVAC, electrical, engine, and other repairs based on experience and certification level.
Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer resources to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
Perform thorough multi-point inspections on customer vehicles.
Identify and document recommended maintenance and additional repairs.
Clearly document diagnosis, repairs performed, and parts required on repair orders.
Communicate findings and repair recommendations with Service Advisors.
Complete repairs according to Ford and dealership specifications.
Maintain strong productivity and efficiency while maintaining quality workmanship.
Perform quality-control checks before vehicles are returned to customers.
Keep your work area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.
Participate in Ford factory training and continuing education.
Work with the Service Manager, Advisors, Parts Department, and other technicians to keep vehicles moving efficiently through the shop.
