About The Position

Lexus of Cool Springs and Lexus of Nashville are hiring Automotive Technicians at all skill levels to diagnose and repair Lexus vehicles and help deliver the customer experience expected of a luxury brand. The role involves following dealership and factory standards, communicating with the parts department and service consultants, documenting repairs, verifying work through road tests, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized shop. Technicians are expected to stay current with factory technical information and training and to follow company policies and applicable regulations. Applicants must be at least 19 years old and pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, an MVR check, and a drug test. Applicants must also have a valid driver's license held for at least three years. The role involves prolonged standing, stooping, and bending; walking, sitting, and operating arm or leg controls at a production pace; and exerting varying levels of force.

Requirements

Hold a valid driver's license for at least three years.
Ability to exert 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, or more than 10 pounds constantly.
Ability to perform work involving prolonged standing, stooping, bending, walking, sitting, and operating arm or leg controls at a production pace.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair Lexus vehicles accurately and efficiently in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Communicate with the parts department to support timely parts delivery and notify the team leader when awaiting parts or special orders.
Accurately diagnose malfunctions and perform authorized repairs.
Save and tag parts for warranty jobs or when requested by the customer.
Inspect vehicles and recommend additional safety or service work when appropriate.
Promptly notify Service Consultants if additional work is needed, work is unnecessary, or repairs cannot be completed as promised.
Document work performed on repair orders with detailed concern, cause, and correction notes.
Road-test vehicles to verify repair quality.
Return customer vehicles clean and ready to drive.
Stay current with factory technical bulletins and regularly attend factory training classes.
Maintain a clean, organized shop and account for dealership-owned tools.
Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal requirements.
Demonstrate professionalism and embody Lexus's vision, mission, and values in all interactions.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
