About The Position

The Automotive Technician at Rick Hendrick Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram is responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing the repair, service, and/or maintenance work. This role involves examining customer vehicles, identifying necessary repairs, estimating costs, and performing maintenance efficiently according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines. The technician will document services, request parts, and maintain customer satisfaction (CSI) at or above company standards. Key aspects include maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work area, participating in required training, and accurately recording hours. Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
  • Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
  • Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.
  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years of Automotive work experience

Responsibilities
