About The Position

Ford of Spartanburg, a Hudson Automotive Company, is actively seeking Automotive Technicians to join their award-winning, high-volume service team. Hudson Automotive Group, founded in 1948, is a third-generation, family-owned and operated business proudly serving customers with all their automotive needs. Hudson Automotive has grown to a multistate, multi-franchise organization with over 50 dealerships and more than 4,500 employees throughout 8 States concentrated in the Southeast. The role involves performing work specified on repair orders, test-driving vehicles, diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, communicating with Service Advisors, and executing warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Technicians perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with quality and dealership standards.
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
  • Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
