Requirements

  • 2-5 years of Automotive Technician experience required
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment, alignment systems, tire equipment, and A/C service equipment
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding production goals
  • Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on delivering a high level of customer service
  • Positive attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug testing
  • High school diploma or the equivalent and two-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and repair processes
  • Outstanding attention to detail with a commitment to quality
  • Ability to use technical reference materials and technical manuals in written and online formats
  • Ability to communicate technical terms to non-technical audience
  • Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certification preferred
  • State Inspection and Emissions License preferred
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASE Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning systems
  • Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately
  • Complete troubleshooting, inspections, and diagnostic testing
  • Provide labor estimates and repair recommendations
  • Communicate findings clearly with service advisors and management
  • Propose practical and cost-effective solutions to vehicle and process-related issues
  • Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time
  • Road test vehicles when necessary to verify repair quality
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Stay current with evolving automotive technology and repair procedures
