About The Position
The Pedder Automotive Group was founded in 2008 by David Pedder. The automotive group has 8 dealerships in Southern California, representing Nissan, Hyundai, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands. The eight (8) locations are – Pedder Nissan, Raceway Nissan, Temecula Nissan, Hemet CDJR, Lake Elsinore CDJR, Pedder Hyundai of Poway, Pedder CDR+J of Poway, and Pedder Hyundai of Moreno Valley. As an Automotive Technician for Lake Elsinore Chrysler Dodge Jeep + RAM, you'll be responsible for specialized repair work and maintenance across a range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles. Your primary focus will be on one specific system or function within these vehicles. This specialization could encompass areas such as transmissions, brakes, radiators, air conditioning, or any other critical component vital to the vehicle's performance.
Requirements
- Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge of automotive repair.
- Proficiency in using computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Aptitude for performing repairs efficiently and to factory standards.
- Capacity to diagnose and identify mechanical problems effectively.
- Attention to detail to ensure all critical parts are examined during repairs.
- Timeliness in completing repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Clear communication skills to understand and follow work orders accurately.
- A valid California Drivers license.
Responsibilities
- Specializes in one area of motor vehicle repair, such as transmissions, radiators, brakes, air conditioning, or another specific component of an automobile.
- Identifies mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
- Performs tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examined.
- Performs repairs, replacements, or maintenance to factory mandated standards.
- Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, brake rotors, radiators, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
- Performs further tests that may include test driving the vehicle to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
