About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton's Lexus of Maplewood. The technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned, following dealership and factory standards. The role supports customer loyalty by accurately diagnosing vehicles and building customer trust and confidence. The company describes itself as a large automotive dealership group affiliated with more than 25 vehicle brands and 50+ dealerships across seven states, with more than 3,500 employees nationwide.

Requirements

Automotive Service Technician experience.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong communication skills.
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Must be at least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.

Nice To Haves

ASE certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform the necessary repairs.
Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to people without mechanical expertise, including employees and customers.
Keep up to date with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training as appropriate.
Keep store management informed of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
Maintain an organized work area.
