Requirements
- 2+ years of automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance experience (dealership experience preferred)
- ASE certifications or manufacturer training strongly preferred
- Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and service information systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check, Motor Vehicle Vehicle Record (MVR) check, and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Accurately diagnose vehicle concerns using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic equipment
- Perform advanced mechanical and electrical repairs, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, HVAC, and drivability systems
- Complete manufacturer-recommended maintenance services, including fluid exchanges, tune-ups, brake service, and alignments
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and clearly document findings and recommendations
- Review and interpret service bulletins, technical data, and repair procedures
- Communicate effectively with service advisors to provide timely and transparent updates
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify concerns and ensure quality workmanship
- Maintain shop equipment and personal tools in safe working condition
- Mentor and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed
- Ensure all repairs and documentation comply with dealership, manufacturer, and regulatory standards
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay current with evolving technology and service practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
