About The Position
Bergey’s Inc. is seeking an A or B Level Technician with PA inspection and emission licenses. GM experience, as well as Transmission and Diesel experience, is preferred. This role functions as a skilled-level technician capable of performing diagnoses and repairs in all areas, with specialization in particular areas of repair. The technician will perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, communicating with the parts department, examining vehicles for additional service needs, documenting all work performed, and road testing vehicles when required. The company is a family-owned business with over 50 locations and more than 1,800 team members, stretching throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey. Requirements
- A or B Level Technician
- PA inspection license
- PA emission license
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications
- Manufacturer Training
- State Emission Certification
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening

Responsibilities
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
- Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
- Other tasks as assigned.
