About The Position

Berlin City Honda is seeking an experienced Main Line Technician to join their successful and passionate team. This role involves diagnosing vehicle service problems and performing quality repairs on assigned repairs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The technician will advise the Service Writer on necessary repairs and parts, and inform the manager of any deviations from the original repair order. The company offers a competitive income opportunity with potential earnings of $60,000 to $150,000 annually, plus a sign-on bonus for certified technicians.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing automotive systems such as the engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Previous (1-2 years) of automotive technician experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a favorable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle service problems.
• Perform quality repairs on assigned repairs.
• Ensure repairs are done correctly the first time.
• Conduct quality checks after each repair.
• Advise the Service Writer of necessary repairs and required parts.
• Inform the manager of any changes or deviations from original repair instructions.
• Conduct road tests to determine work required.
• Complete comprehensive documentation of cause/correction, specifications, and other pertinent information.
• Ensure current knowledge of the latest technical data and service procedures.
• Retain essential tools necessary to complete assigned repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and lock up all tools daily.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all customer interactions, co-workers, and vendors.
