About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma is seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician to join their high-volume Service Department. The role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns using OEM diagnostic equipment and repair procedures. This position offers consistent work opportunities, a modern facility, and support from experienced Service Advisor and Parts teams. The technician will be responsible for completing repairs accurately and efficiently in a flat-rate environment, documenting findings, and maintaining a safe work area.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional automotive repair experience
Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing repair quality
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Dependable, professional, and team-oriented work ethic
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate customer and dealership vehicles
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

Flat-rate technician experience strongly preferred
Dealership or high-volume automotive repair experience preferred
Mercedes-Benz or European automotive experience is a plus, but not required
ASE certifications preferred
Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
Perform routine maintenance through advanced automotive repairs
Complete engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, electrical, and other repairs based on experience and certification level
Use Mercedes-Benz diagnostic equipment and OEM repair procedures
Complete repairs accurately and efficiently in a flat-rate environment
Document diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and recommendations clearly
Perform inspections and verify completed repairs
Work closely with Service Advisors and Parts personnel to keep repairs moving efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow dealership, manufacturer, and workplace safety procedures
