About The Position

AAA Car Care is seeking Automotive Technicians to join their team. They are looking for individuals who are mechanically inclined, enjoy working on automobiles, and providing excellent customer service. AAA Car Care offers a full range of automotive repair and maintenance services to AAA members and non-members in clean and conveniently located facilities. Many of their shops are air-conditioned, setting them apart from competitors. They are committed to creating a workplace that helps both members and team members.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or Technical school certification
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledgeable about automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources
  • Ability to independently perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles
  • Understand and consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools used in repair and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores
  • Minimum of 6 months relevant experience in automotive repair or completion of formal automotive training program (Technician C)
  • 3 years or more of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center (Technician B)
  • 5 years or more of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center (Technician A)
  • Must have own tools appropriate for their skill level for use in the center.
  • Must be able to work in the heat, as some locations do not have air conditioning.
  • Must be able to maintain working on your feet in a concrete facility for the entire work shift.

  • G1-Auto Maintenance & Light Repair preferred (General Service Tech)
  • State inspection certificate where applicable (General Service Tech)
  • AC 609 Certification (General Service Tech, Technician C, Technician B, Technician A)
  • ASE Certifications (or their equivalent) (Technician C)
  • A4-Suspension & Steering, A5-Brakes (Technician C)
  • Two other ASE certifications (or their equivalent) (Technician B)
  • ASE Certifications (A1 – A8) with Master Technician designation or the equivalent combination of technician certifications and ASE certifications (Technician A)
  • ASE certification L1-Advanced Engine Performance Specialist (Technician A)

Responsibilities

  • Complete routine scheduled maintenance service on automobiles and trucks, as directed by a manager or Service Advisor.
  • Perform basic automotive repair, adjustments, and maintenance procedures, including oil changes, tire replacement & repairs, and general vehicle maintenance.
  • Drive vehicles into service bays, prepare them for, and complete digital vehicle inspection (General Service Tech).
  • Test drive vehicles and prepare them for delivery to customers after repairs and maintenance are complete (General Service Tech).
  • Keep the shop clean and organized to ensure a positive member/customer experience (General Service Tech).
  • Learn from Technician A, B, and C colleagues to further advance your career (General Service Tech).
  • Perform automotive repairs, adjustments, and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair orders (Technician C).
  • Complete fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, basic repair, and maintenance services (Technician C).
  • Work with, mentor, and train less experienced Technicians (Technician B & A).
  • Perform advanced repair and maintenance services (Technician B).
  • Complete electrical repairs, diagnostic repairs, and drivability diagnostics (Technician A).
