We're looking for a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. In this role, you'll perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicle systems while upholding the high standards Leachman is known for. You'll work with precision, professionalism, and a commitment to quality—ensuring every vehicle that leaves our service bay meets our customers' expectations and our own exacting standards. This is a hands on position where your expertise directly impacts our customers' trust in the Leachman name.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past two years
  • Strong automotive background and hands on repair experience
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with attention to detail
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment background check and drug screening

  • GM and/or ASE certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC systems
  • Execute repairs according to manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements
  • Conduct thorough pre and post service vehicle inspections and complete detailed inspection sheets
  • Document all work performed on service orders with accuracy and clarity
  • Perform test drives using diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to verify proper repair completion
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Service Advisors regarding vehicle concerns and work order updates
  • Coordinate with the parts department to source needed components efficiently
  • Follow all safety guidelines for chemicals, tools, lifts, vehicle exhaust, and vehicle movement
  • Maintain service bays in a clean, organized, and secure manner
  • Uphold professional appearance and conduct consistent with Leachman's reputation
  • Complete all required training and certifications as assigned
