About The Position

Ford of Elizabethton is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team in Elizabethton, TN. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic and repair services on Ford vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This full-time role offers an aggressive compensation package of $50,000 to $125,000+ per year, a flexible work schedule, and industry-leading benefits. As a Ford Certified Technician, your expertise ensures that everything from rugged trucks (F-150) to electric vehicles (Mustang Mach-E) runs at peak performance and safety. You will deliver transparent, top-tier automotive service to the local community.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Prior experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Ford vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic procedures
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Ford Certification not required but preferred
  • Senior Master Technician status preferred
  • Strong understanding of EcoBoost engines, hybrid/electric drivetrains, and advanced driver-assist systems.
  • Knowledge of older Ford vehicles will be needed.
  • ASE Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose & Repair: Utilize factory tools, technology, and service bulletins to fix complex mechanical issues.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform high-precision oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
  • Multi-Point Inspections: Provide clear, honest recommendations to service advisors and customers.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with evolving Ford vehicle technology.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle problems
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Use specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot Ford vehicles
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair options
  • Maintain accurate repair records and reports
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
