About The Position
PFM Auto & Fleet is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join their Zionsville team. This role involves performing advanced inspections, accurate diagnostics, and high-quality repairs. The shop combines the personal culture of a neighborhood shop with the advanced tools, training, and support of the GreatWater network, valuing honesty, craftsmanship, and doing the job right the first time. The technician will be responsible for advanced steering and suspension inspections and repairs, advanced brake and braking system diagnostics and repair, advanced HVAC diagnostics and repair, basic electrical system diagnostics and repair, completing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI), performing scheduled maintenance and flush services, tire services, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Collaboration with service advisors and team members is essential for accurate repairs and excellent customer service. A minimum of 75% labor productivity is required.
Requirements
- Experienced B-Level Automotive Technician
- 3 or more years Automotive Technician experience or a combination of experience and training
- Possess required state and local certifications to be able to legally perform the work
- A current and valid driver's license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- ASE A4 Suspension and Steering certification
- ASE A5 Brakes certification
- ASE A6 Electrical Systems certification
- ASE A7 Heating and Air Conditioning certification
- Strong diagnostic ability and attention to detail
- Experience performing advanced brake, suspension, and HVAC repairs
- Ability to complete thorough Digital Vehicle Inspections
- Positive attitude and strong team mindset
- Pride in delivering quality workmanship and honest service
Nice To Haves
- Willingness to earn ASE certifications and work towards being an A Level Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced steering and suspension inspections and repairs
- Diagnose and repair advanced brake and braking system issues
- Perform advanced HVAC diagnostics and repair
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical systems
- Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) to accurately identify vehicle needs
- Perform scheduled maintenance services and flush services
- Perform tire service, rotations, repairs, and TPMS service
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Work collaboratively with service advisors and team members to ensure accurate repairs and excellent customer service
- Maintaining a minimum of 75% labor productivity when comparing attendance hours to invoiced hours
