Ford Automotive Technician

About The Position

This role involves assembling and preparing test environments for deployment, including aluminum frame assembly, harness installation, module installation, and software installation. The technician will be responsible for testing and validation, packaging and shipping systems to Ford and non-Ford partners, and tracking distribution. Additionally, the role requires maintaining the operation of tool systems, troubleshooting and repairing them, monitoring and maintaining a virtual service desk, diagnosing, updating, and repairing non-functional systems, and managing the shipping of components to fabricators for system builds. Inventory and organization of the tools lab are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage priorities, risks, and issues as they arise.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a group.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Functional understanding of automotive electrical wiring and wiring schematics

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in electrical harness design or fabrication
  • Prior automotive or IT support.
  • Experience utilizing JIRA.
