About The Position

Caskinette Ford, the highest-volume Ford dealer in the North Country, is growing its Service Department and hiring Automotive Service Technicians at multiple experience levels. This includes experienced flat-rate technicians, those currently working as lube/maintenance technicians ready for the next step, and individuals with automotive training seeking to build a career as a technician. Pay is based on experience, certifications, and skill level, with strong earning potential for experienced and motivated technicians, offering an annual earning potential of $35,000–$80,000+.

Requirements

Automotive repair or service experience preferred
Automotive education or training is a plus
NYS Inspection License is a plus
ASE or manufacturer certifications are a plus
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
Willingness to learn new vehicle technology and repair procedures
Dependable, positive attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

Diagnose, maintain and repair cars, trucks and SUVs
Perform repairs according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications
Work on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC and other vehicle systems based on your skill level
Use modern diagnostic tools and Ford service equipment
Test-drive vehicles and verify repairs
Communicate with Service Advisors regarding vehicle needs and additional repairs
Perform warranty repairs according to Ford specifications
Continue developing your technical skills through training and hands-on experience
