About The Position

Hometown Tire Pros and Service is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician specializing in alignments, brakes, and vehicle inspections to join their busy, growing, full-service shop. This role offers high earning potential through a performance-based pay plan, a consistent workflow with a strong customer base, and flexible scheduling. The technician will play a crucial role in ensuring customer safety and vehicle performance, focusing on wheel alignments, brake diagnosis and repair, suspension and steering work, and comprehensive vehicle inspections. The position involves working collaboratively with experienced service advisors and technicians in an environment that prioritizes quality, efficiency, and honest customer recommendations.

Requirements

  • At least two years of hands-on automotive repair experience; three or more years preferred
  • Strong experience performing alignments, brake repairs, and vehicle inspections
  • Working knowledge of steering and suspension systems
  • Ability to diagnose concerns accurately and complete repairs efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle safety
  • Dependable, professional, and motivated work style
  • Clear communication and the ability to work well with technicians and service advisors
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening for illegal substances
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Alignment or ASE certifications are preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform two-wheel and four-wheel alignments accurately and efficiently
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace brake system components
  • Inspect and repair steering and suspension systems
  • Complete thorough vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
  • Identify needed repairs and clearly document recommendations
  • Perform preventive maintenance and general automotive repairs
  • Use repair orders and inspection forms to document completed work
  • Road-test vehicles to verify customer concerns and confirm repairs
  • Communicate repair needs, findings, and status updates to service advisors
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Stay current with automotive technology, equipment, and repair procedures
