About The Position

Hendrick Toyota Concord is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician with experience in diagnosing and performing vehicle repairs to prevent them from future breakdowns or issues. An ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in the automotive repair industry (minimum C-Level Technician experience with Toyota or similar import brands) along with motivation to continue their training and ASE certifications for a successful career.

Requirements

  • Minimum C-Level Technician experience with Toyota or similar import brands.
  • Automotive Technology, Vocational/Trade Certificate, High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
  • Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer.
  • Meets and/or exceeds manufacturer requirements for ASE tests.
  • Completed manufacturer training to perform warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
  • Ability to learn parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in-person at an automotive dealership.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations.
  • Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and performing vehicle repairs.
  • Preventing future breakdowns or issues.
  • Continuing training and obtaining ASE certifications.
  • Performing warranty repairs/recalls on most vehicles, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs.
  • Utilizing timekeeping system.
  • Learning parts department computer inventory and ordering system.
  • Communicating effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in-person at an automotive dealership.
  • Working scheduled shifts, typically 5-days per week, rotating Saturdays, and may include holidays.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
