About The Position

Avis Budget Group is seeking a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager-to-learn Entry Level Automotive Technician to join their team. This role is an excellent starting point for individuals looking to build an automotive career, gain hands-on experience with a variety of newer vehicles across multiple brands, and earn ASE certifications. The technician will perform preventive maintenance and light repair work on the company's fleet, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and reliable for customer use. The position offers on-the-job training and support for career advancement within the company.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• At least 6 months of auto maintenance experience or automotive technical school coursework
• Ability to obtain at least 1 ASE certification within the first year
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently
• Must be able to enter, exit and drive vehicles
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely

Nice To Haves

• 6 months auto maintenance experience or completion of an automotive technical school program is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repair work on fleet vehicles.
• Conduct oil and fluid services.
• Perform tire changes and rotations.
• Execute basic repairs and other routine maintenance tasks.
• Assist more experienced technicians with additional repairs and diagnostics as skills develop.
• Ensure all work is performed in a safe and quality-focused manner.
• Support vehicle availability by keeping vehicles well-maintained and reliable.
• Ensure customers have a safe, dependable rental experience.
