Automotive Technician / Mechanic |Up To $44/hr| Valley Ranch (Irving)
About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is looking for technicians who are energetic, upbeat and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our guests. CBA began in 1982 with the simple premise of providing precision auto repair with transparency, integrity and a philosophy of people first. All 300+ CBA locations offer a modern facility equipped with manufacture-level diagnostic equipment and the latest factory scan tools. CBA shops also offer their technicians a consistent workload, free training, full-time live technician support and access to our private Technician Assistance Center.
Requirements
- Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests.
- 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Current ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve while working in our business.
- Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles.
- Ability to flag 40+ hours per week.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
- Prefer experience with all makes and models of vehicles.
- Dealership diagnostic equipment experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head.
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair.
- Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools.
- Walk/stand for the majority of their workday.
- Drive manual transmissions vehicles.
- Efficiently navigate a computer.
Nice To Haves
- Dealership diagnostic equipment experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of automotive repairs.
- Review TSB’s and other service recommendations and translate to guest needs.
- Honestly assess vehicles and build a detailed estimate of necessary repairs.
- Communicate cause and correction for guest concerns regarding their vehicle.
- Address any concerns from guests and interface with them on their vehicle as needed.
- Maintain professionalism.
- Keep the shop clean and in working order.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy inspections in service to our guests.
- Master MFG level diagnostic tools (MFG scantools and subscriptions provided by CBA)
