About The Position

Last Stop Garage’s mission is to keep vehicles safe, reliable, and road-ready through disciplined, high-quality maintenance and repair. We operate a full-service garage that services Drive Sally’s fleet vehicles and also supports retail customers. We focus on efficient workflows, technical excellence, and strong service standards to deliver fast repairs and consistent outcomes. The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing Sally vehicles to ensure they are safe, reliable, and ready for customer use. This role plays a critical part in keeping vehicles operational, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high safety and quality standards across the fleet. The Automotive Technician works collaboratively with Fleet Leads and Shop Managers to execute maintenance workflows efficiently and accurately. Success in this role looks like accurate diagnostics, fast and high-quality repairs, low repeat repair rates, and vehicles consistently meeting safety and launch readiness standards. Key performance metrics include: Repair cycle time, Repeat repair rate, Inspection pass rate, Vehicle uptime contribution, Quality control pass rate, Preventative maintenance completion rate.

Requirements

  • Within 6 months of being hired you must obtain the following ASE’s: Auto Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), A1 – Engine Repair, A5 – Brakes (for Tier 1)
  • Must obtain any 3 of the remaining 6 A series ASE’s: A2, A3, A4, A6, A7, A8 (for Tier 2)
  • Must obtain the remaining 3 A series ASE’s (for Tier 3)
  • 3+ years of hands-on automotive service, maintenance, and repair experience.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials.
  • Skilled in mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
  • Basic level of computer proficiency.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass drug and background checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional experience with new vehicle dealer services preferred.
  • OEM and/or ASE certifications preferred.
  • Toyota and Kia experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and systems (including OBD II and CAN).
  • Conduct intake assessments and document customer-reported vehicle concerns accurately.
  • Complete repair orders thoroughly and accurately within required timeframes.
  • Support preventative maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and long-term fleet issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Follow system standards and visual management processes consistently.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring of other technicians to upskill the team.
  • Collaborate with Shop Managers to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Clean and detail vehicles as needed to support launch readiness.
