Make a difference as a Experienced Automotive Technician Level 2 - B-tech As an Experienced Automotive Technician Level 2 - B-tech at Community Automotive Repair, you can expect a hands-on role where you will diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting complex problems, and using diagnostic tools effectively. You'll work on engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems, ensuring each vehicle meets safety and performance standards. Your full-time schedule will consist 42.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This structure provides consistency while allowing for a collaborative work environment where you can share insights and learn from experienced colleagues. Each day will bring new challenges and opportunities to enhance your technical skills while contributing to a team dedicated to customer satisfaction and quality service.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in general maintenance tasks, such as oil and filter services, tire mounting and balancing, and fluid changes.
  • Effectively use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues across multiple systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC.
  • Experience in repairing and replacing battery and charging systems, major engine components, coolant systems, and exhaust components—possibly involving welding.
  • Strong ability to document logical cause-and-effect relationships in your work.
  • Comfortable using both hand and power tools.
  • 2 to 3 years of professional experience as an automotive technician.
  • A state certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certification is preferred, or you should be willing to pursue it for career advancement.
