About The Position

This is a paid, 12-week apprenticeship program designed to help you build the skills needed to start a career as an automotive technician. Whether you’re new to the workforce, exploring a trade or technical program, transitioning from military service, or looking for a better long-term career path, this program is built for you. You’ll get your hands dirty learning the ins and outs of the automotive technician field. With guidance, you’ll develop new skills to add to your growing toolbox.

Requirements

• 6+ months of related automotive experience
• A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana excluded for this position, but drug-free workplace policies apply)
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED.
• The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Have attended or currently attending tech/trade school/2-year college with Automotive training program

Responsibilities

• Work with a mentor technician for coaching and guidance
• Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices.
• Perform basic auto maintenance tech duties, including oil and filter change, fuel filter change, transmission flush and vehicle inspection.
• Learn to safely use tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced shop
• Perform other duties as assigned by mentor, supervisor or manager.
