About The Position

This is a paid, 12-week apprenticeship program designed to help individuals build the skills needed to start a career as an automotive technician. Upon successful completion of the program objectives, participants may be offered a full-time General Service Technician (GST) position with a tool bonus and a defined career path. Participation does not guarantee continued employment. If program standards are not met by the end of the 12 weeks, the participant will be exited from the program and will not be offered a full-time GST role.

Requirements

6+ months of related automotive experience
Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required
Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Nice To Haves

A high school diploma or GED
The ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles
Attended or currently attending tech/trade school or 2-year college in an automotive training program

Responsibilities

Work with a mentor technician for coaching and guidance.
Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices.
Perform basic auto maintenance tech duties, including oil and filter change, fuel filter change, transmission flush and vehicle inspection.
Learn to safely use tools and equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Work as part of a team in a fast-paced shop.
Perform other duties as assigned by mentor, supervisor or manager.
