About The Position

Automotive Technician A performs intermediate to advanced mechanical repairs, diagnostics, maintenance services, and manufacturer-recommended repairs while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with the Shop Foreman, Service Advisors, and Service Manager to ensure timely, accurate vehicle repairs.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of automotive repair experience (previous dealership experience preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with engine, drivetrain, suspension, steering, brake, and electrical repairs
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals
  • Knowledge of computerized diagnostic equipment
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening, where permitted by law
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Nice To Haves

  • State Inspection License
  • ASE, Nissan, EPA Section 609, and/or State Inspection certifications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle concerns using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
  • Perform repairs on engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, HVAC, electrical, and fuel systems
  • Complete factory scheduled maintenance services
  • Perform accurate vehicle inspections and identify recommended repairs
  • Communicate repair recommendations through digital inspection software and repair orders
  • Maintain productivity while meeting quality and efficiency standards
  • Test drive vehicles as necessary to verify repairs
  • Follow Nissan repair procedures and manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Participate in required manufacturer training and certification programs
  • Support fellow technicians and contribute to a positive team environment
