About The Position

VSSI Staffing is hiring mechanically inclined individuals to join a growing automotive parts operation. Automotive Tear-Down Technicians use air and power tools to dismantle engines and transmissions while meeting production, quality, and safety expectations. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with basic automotive knowledge who enjoy hands-on mechanical work and want to expand their experience.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of engines, transmissions, or automotive systems.
• Previous experience using air tools, impact guns, or power tools.
• Ability to identify different tools and socket sizes.
• Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on mechanical work.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and complete physical tasks.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work efficiently in a production-based environment.

Nice To Haves

• Selected employees will complete several weeks of off-site training to learn the company’s disassembly processes, production standards, and safety expectations.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble engines, transmissions, and related automotive components.
• Operate impact guns, air tools, sockets, and other equipment safely.
• Identify and select the correct tools and socket sizes for each task.
• Separate and organize dismantled components as instructed.
• Inspect parts for visible damage or wear.
• Follow established disassembly procedures and production requirements.
• Meet daily productivity and quality goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Follow all workplace safety policies and company procedures.
