About The Position
Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Senior Detailer for our partner dealers in Columbia, SC! The Senior Detailer will be responsible for executing high-quality interior and exterior detailing, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring all vehicles meet company and client quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
Requirements
- 1+ years of professional automotive detailing experience (dealership or reconditioning environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of detailing tools, chemicals, and safe handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment with high turnaround demands.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Reliable transportation and full-time availability (including some weekends if required).
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in and around vehicles for extended periods.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience detailing vehicles in a dealership or high-volume reconditioning shop.
- Familiarity with paint correction, buffing, or ceramic coating.
- Strong time-management skills to handle multiple vehicles per day.
- Team player with good communication skills
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced interior and exterior detailing (wash, clay bar, buffing, polishing, waxing, shampooing, stain removal)
- Execute paint correction techniques (compounding, polishing, swirl removal)
- Conduct final quality control inspections to ensure vehicles meet client standards
- Safely move and stage vehicles across dealership or lot environments
- Train and support junior detailers on processes, efficiency, and quality expectations
- Maintain proper use of chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Ensure daily production goals and turnaround times are met
- Follow all company safety protocols and operational procedures
- Communicate effectively with management regarding workflow, delays, or issues
