Requirements
- Previous experience as an Automotive Shop Foreman, Lead Technician, or Master Technician
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to mentor and develop technicians
- Strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
Nice To Haves
- ASE Certifications preferred
- Experience with dealership service operations and manufacturer standards
- Domestic, import, or multi-franchise dealership experience
- Electrical, drivability, and advanced diagnostics expertise
- Shop workflow and productivity management
- Warranty repair and manufacturer compliance experience
- Training and mentoring technicians at various skill levels
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workflow and shop productivity
- Assign and monitor repair orders for maximum efficiency
- Assist technicians with complex diagnostics and repairs
- Ensure repairs are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain high standards for quality control and customer satisfaction
- Support technician training and development
- Collaborate with service advisors and management to improve operations
- Monitor shop safety procedures and compliance standards
- Help achieve departmental performance and profitability goals
- Serve as a technical resource for the service team
