About The Position

The Lake Louise Ski Resort is seeking an Automotive Service Technician, specifically for 2nd to 4th year apprentices, to join their team in Lake Louise. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing on-road vehicles for the LLSR fleet, working both independently and under the supervision of Red Seal mechanics. Requirements

Apprentice Automotive Service Technician, must be working towards Red Seal certification.
Valid Driver’s license (class 5 minimum).
Must provide tools adequate per your level of training.
Must have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Must possess accurate verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Safety oriented. Strong knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
Able to prioritize tasks for efficiency.
Follow all LLSR policies and procedures.
A three month probationary period applies.
A police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment.

Nice To Haves

Strong knowledge of light trucks an asset.

Responsibilities

Perform routine service and breakdown maintenance for the LLSR vehicle fleet.
Troubleshoot problems on various makes of vehicles.
Work under the supervision of Red Seal mechanics and unsupervised.
Maintain a high standard of safety.
Operate all fleet vehicles to evaluate the results of previously performed maintenance.
Complete work orders and projects as assigned.
Accurate record keeping of regular inspections, maintenance, and projects.
