Automotive Service Technician
About The Position
Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, heating, and air conditioning. Perform maintenance and repairs according to dealership and manufacturer standards. Complete accurate multipoint vehicle inspections. Use diagnostic equipment and factory resources to identify vehicle concerns. Perform warranty repairs in accordance with Nissan guidelines. Road-test vehicles when necessary to verify customer concerns and completed repairs. Document findings, recommendations, and completed work clearly on each repair order. Communicate effectively with service advisors, parts personnel, and management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Requirements
- Previous professional automotive repair experience required
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to accurately follow repair procedures and technical information
- Must provide or have access to the necessary hand tools for the position
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check
- Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work well as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Nissan or INFINITI factory certification is a major plus
- ASE certifications are preferred
- North Carolina Safety and Emissions Inspection License is a plus
