Shottenkirk Chevrolet Buick GMC Fort Madison is actively hiring Automotive Service Technicians of all experience levels, from entry-level to Master Technicians. Requirements
- Previous automotive repair experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- ASE certifications, GM certifications, or OEM training are a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and multi-point inspections
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems
- Perform manufacturer-recommended maintenance and warranty repairs
- Use diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns
- Communicate repair recommendations with Service Advisors
- Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership quality standards
- Continuously develop technical skills through factory and dealership training
